Consulting and advocacy embraces your child and their unique needs. To ensure BICA can identify and specialize in your child's needs, an initial consulting/advocacy contract will be discussed prior to services. These may include: Research, IEP, MET, data review, FBA, BIP review, photocopying, mileage, consulting with additional professionals as needed, and observation in the educational setting.

We create educational success by using private tutors accessed through the Empowerment Scholarship. We attain the unattainable one dream at a time. We create successful individuals at every ability level!

Accommodations and training for differently-abled young people are as unique as they are. Customized training and consulting by an M.A.Ed. with over 20 years experience building programs for individuals with special need to include, but not limited to medically fragile, communication disorders, intellectual disabilities, autism, etc. to help prepare a school, program, or faculty/staff to accommodate diverse needs. Fees may be billed hourly or by program as arranged.
We go beyond the walls of a school to make learning how to be a good friend fun! We build meaningful relationships so we can be engaged members of out community.
Bus drop-off at BICA (2121 S. Mill Ave, Tempe) until 5:45 pm. $1/minute cash charge for late pickup.
After School Support is an extension of the academic, social emotional, job readiness, activities of daily living and interpersonal relationship building surrounding the IEP and child's specific needs. Support provided by special education teacher, job/behavior coach and staff.
Skill building and support towards Independence is cultivated in our supportive environment. Activities include but not limited to: making a simple snack/meal, daily living chores, interpersonal skills, tutoring, social emotional support, personal hygiene, and job training skills.
$220/month for 5 days/week
$132/month for 3 days/week
$45 drop-in day rate
3rd Saturdays each month (see Calendar)
Social Group (suggested age 8-16): Groups will be led by a school psychologist and a certified special education teacher focusing on interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, responsibility, personal space awareness, body language, manners and friendship. Groups will be center-based for skill building. Application of skill will be demonstrated and supported in community-based activities. A light snack will be provided. Price per session: $25, including snack and activities. If there is an outing there may be additional cost.
Teen Group (suggested age 11-20): A social group designed to encourage appropriate social skills. Groups will be center-based and designed according to their likes and dislikes. Targeted areas of instruction will be social skills, interpersonal relationships, reciprocal conversations, appropriate social skills with peers and in the community. Price per session: $15, including snack and activities. If there is an outing there may be additional cost.
Adult and kid fit starting June 1, 2019.
